Recently, Phu My Hung Security identified a motorbike with license plate 59C1-…, a vehicle linked to the theft of a traffic light control unit at Lawrence S. Ting School (Middle School Campus) on February 15, 2025. The motorbike was spotted entering Phu My Hung from Tan My Market. The driver, wearing a green jacket, matched the description from previously extracted surveillance images. Noting suspicious behavior, security personnel immediately alerted Tan Phu Ward Police, providing details on the suspect’s movements and appearance.
Phu My Hung Security swiftly set up a checkpoint. When the suspect reached the Nguyen Luong Bang – Tran Van Tra intersection, security officers stopped the vehicle for inspection. Upon confirming that the suspect matched the images under investigation, Phu My Hung Security coordinated with Tan Phu Ward Police to detain him and escort him to the station for further investigation.
At the police station, the suspect, identified as L.A.T, a resident of District 4, Ho Chi Minh City, confessed to stealing the traffic light control unit at Lawrence S. Ting School on February 15, 2025. Police records revealed that the suspect had four prior convictions, including one for drug use and three for theft.
